micro huevos

YouTube video
"Micro Huevos"
how to cook an egg in the microwave -
Anyone can do this!
It takes 2 or 3 minutes.
No excuse not to have a hot breakfast...
As it were... and only because someone asked
once upon a time! Another ridiculous video by me!

They released balloons when the patient died today!
Fly, fly fly!

In unrelated news, I put these fun stars all over the ceiling.

The most beautiful sky today!

Shocking pink scrubs

And this awesome tuna salad - too good!
10,000 steps are my norm by now...
And 2 liters of water minimum.
What a day!
Hope yours is as good ...
in every way you wish it to be!

lucky layla

Saw this sign for "raw" milk!
Driving around town - doing visits....

Went back for the info - it's true!
Went back for a tour on my day off.
The towns grew in and around this little dairy farm

This is where little miss Bessy or Bossy or Layla gets milked

All modern, of course. And the cows love it.
So they say. Well, they come to the milking voluntarily,
so I guess they might want to unload all that milk!

This family-owned dairy has Jersey Cows and Guernsey Cows,
Not Holsteins (black and white cows)

The cows have been winning awards since the 1960's
Kow-a-rama 2009
Put that in your pipe and schmoke it!

These cows have certain enzymes that are more like goat milk.
That is how they are different from Holsteins.
And they are (mostly) grass fed! People who are lactose intolerant can
usually have this raw, unpasteurized, un-homogenized milk.

The cows are happy and docile, I'm told. They are also boney and
kinda skinny - hips and ribs are showing. They are not a muscular cow.
Each cow gives about 5 gallons of milk per milking.

Got some milk - it was very rich!
Cream was at the top 6 inches of the carton.

This is "yogurt cheese" - as thick as cream cheese, kinda sweet, tangy.
One carb per serving = one loving spoonful. *Yum!*
It was fun, fun, fun today.
('Till someone takes the t-bone away)
I played, and planned, and had no
melt-down or crisis today!
Just fun. Fun with cows.
Hope your day is the same:

up the hill (again)

An early start - as usual

Food adjustments are not a false-start PER SE ...
I just don't always know just how far to cut back.

Will moderation and modification be the new norm for me?
It is a distinct possibility!
(Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Turns out, the answer is almost always the same one...

It's like starting over each time - each day, for me.

A kind of dietary absurdism. And
I'm finally ok about that! A happy Sisyphus.
(I've been called worse!)

It feels like a perpetual state of "Back to Basics"
With very little deviation. Just do what works best!
[Read as: very little cheating, if any]

*this just in* the REAL reason this bothers me,
is that food was always much more than just food to me.
But now, it can lose the "specialness" without losing the joy!

Ready to eat... preparing "food at hand"
A zip-lock bag filled with chunks of 4 different types of cheese
A ready-made bag of salad and hard-boiled eggs

OK - ready!  (Again)
Now, to choose "again" takes on new meaning!

Maybe real progress is sometimes made when
we stay in a rudimental "first position..."
And are more open to learning, and feedback.  More attentive -
with a "beginner's mind."  More humble? Listening more?
With no judgement of what "should be," or expectation
of what we think is best for ourselves.

As if we would really know what is best for ourselves.

We do, and we don't - or we wouldn't have a problem!
Weight is not the problem - it's maybe the conflict
about the weight (and the food) that is my problem.

Grilled chicken breast sliced onto salad
(Chews again?)

The onions were grilled too...
marinated in lime juice and chipotle.. At least
yummy menu items like this are not a "bad" compromise!

compromise  =  with + promise
(lest we forget!)
Hope your day is going well!
Drink it in. Eat it up!

collie flower

Chop up some collie-flower
The hat helps, if you have one...

Boil it until tender
You - and the veggies!

Colander it until strained
No real strain for us!

Mash it up a bit
Not too mushy!

Add some butter and seasoning
Well seasoned, thank you!

The super-deluxe treatment
We deserve it!

Tastes like mashed potatoes!
Yum - me!

If you haven't tried this,
why haven't you?

You've got nothing to lose, but the zillion carbs!
I'm just sayin'......

No collies, or flowers were hurt in the making of this post!
The search for the Lost Foodie Tribe continues...
with a  journey through a dangerous corridor
Another really silly YouTube Video!
How's your week going?
Me? Thanks for asking!
Onward and downward!

why don't we

No one will be watching us -

Why don't we do it in the road?

Looks like Dr Suess Hat, with miles of fried eggs (construction reflectors)

Best salad ever?

Yes, I think it was!

My right arm picking up some definition!
And losing some bulky bulk.
The little bumpy wrist bones are back!

I love the cooler weather, too.
The sky was never more blue.

I can walk outside without fear.
Fear of passing out, like when they clobbered Sophia
in The Color Purple, and she woke up in prison.

(And by the way, I happen to think Spielberg is Enlightended!)

Drinking water - one glass full at time - bolus style.
I love the energy it seems to have given me!
(That, and Monster drinks, right?)
I once sipped water here and there - all day long.

I drink distilled water - I distill it myself.
I add a pinch of Mediterranean Sea Salt
to the 16 ounce jug o' water I drink 3 - 4 times a day.
Stave off leg cramps, as it were.

The Beatles
Why Don't We Do It In The Road?

Hope your week is blissful and insanely happy!

Welcome to the Eating Machine

From the dark side... of the "moon" ?

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been.
You've been in the pie-line, filling in time,
Provided with toys, and 'Scouting for Boys'.

You bought a new bra to punish your ma,
And you didn't like school, and you
Know you're nobody's fool,
So welcome to the machine.

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
What did you eat?
It's alright - we told you what to eat.

You dreamed of a big star,
He played a mean guitar,
He always ate in the Steak Bar.
He loved to drive in his Jaguar.
So welcome to the Machine.

(with all the usual apologies and foltleroy!)

Welcome to the Machine
