 These fraudulent “Nurses”!

Like 7,600 nationwide. 

3000+ just in Texas.

It’s a felony to impersonate a Nurse. 

The Texas Nurse Protection Act. 

Almost all states have this. 

You just can’t go around saying you’re a nurse. 

Even a nurse aid or companion 

Can’t say the magic word “Nurse”

Without that title. 

I love love love when people 

Call me Nurse Anne. 

I never get tired of hearing it. 

“Hey Nurse Anne!”

I remember the first time it hit me

That I am actually a “real deal” nurse. 

Not a Student. Not a one day gonna be. 

I was walking down the hall

After I left a patient’s room. 

I was going to go get “the Nurse.”

And it hit me. 

I AM THE NURSE!

I’ve been gobsmaked over that

For 33 years now. 

My mother was right. 

Nursing is Recession-Proof

And Pandemic-Proof. 

Never a dull moment. 

Thanks, Mother! 

I know she’s proud of me.

By now. If it wasn’t documented,

It wasn’t done.

Few Nurse jobs are Monday 

To Friday, 9 to 5. 

Nursing School. 

You’ll make friends for life. 

Insurance Companies 

Are like the Mafia Boss. 

They own it all

And they don’t like to let it go. 

Big Pharma and Big Medical -

This is truer than we like to think. 

Gotta have your sense of humor. 

The day you lose that,

Should be the day you take a 

little break from nursing.

In Western Texas. Big money back in the day. 

They think of themselves as Baby Boomers. 

These Boomers had a stable home life. 

Mommy made lunch for them 

When they came home from school. 

Grilled Cheese Sammich and Tomato Soup. 

I was a Latchkey Kid. 

Mom worked and I had to fend for myself. 

Divorce, child abuse, Sesame Street. 

My goodness. Am I Gen X? 

November 1960. 

My sister and brother are 

Proper Boomers. 

Their mom and dad couldn’t wait

To have babies after the Great War. 

(Same mom; different dad.). 

The mediums are loose!

I’m often between medium and large 

because I don’t want clothes to touch me. 

I hate it I’m going 

to find a way to deal. 

Can’t have my pants down. 

A swallow of EVOO seems good to me. 

Especially with my protein shakes. 

The Kratom is helping so much with 

Pain and even energy.  And peace of mind.
