what a wonderful world

I see friends shaking hands saying "How do you do"

They're really saying "I Love You!"

Not a real giant baby

Busy time of year for these hard working people

It's like a Hard Candy Christmas
but with Pork Rinds this year

A pretty gizmo at the store!

Ok - well, maybe just a  wee little bit of candy for Nursie!

A rainy day to stay in bed sick with the "flu"
Really nothing more than body wrenching caffeine withdrawals.
Again. Maybe this time I can get it to "stick."
And maybe some avoidance behavior.
Or it might just be sleep.

Hope you are all warm and dry and bundled up
in a cozy wrap of Loving Thoughts!

  3. So it's wee hours of Christmas morning for you, but still only the eve for us. I ducked in to say howdeedo, thanks for your recent comments on my blog (very much appreciated) and to wish you a wonderful headache-free and caffeine-free day (try saying that clearly with only one "free"), wrapped in the warm, loving thoughts of your friend PB.

  5. Merry Christmas, Anne! Staying in bed sounds good. Some good movies or a book would even make it better. Relax and enjoy :)

  7. Merry Christmas! Love the photos.

I remember those horse rides around Highland Park, never took one but I saw them.

What Great neighbours. Have a gorgeous day and you are venturing where I fear to tred, into the no-caffeine zone. Fare thee well!

  8. Feel better! I feel so sorry for the people who work in retail. I remember how much I used to hate working late on all of the holidays- especially this time of year!

  9. Sick with the flu, or just an excuse to eat pork rinds in bed on a rainy morning? Hmmmmmm ...

I hope you are feeling better soon, in a decaf sort of way!

  11. Question: How do you defeat a giant baby, who is about to eat you?!!

Answer: You poke him in the eye, of course!

    Thanks for the instructional photo.

Next question: How long does it take a nurse to get past the allure of caffeine?

Answer: No one knows. It has never been done before, but I think we are about to find out!!!

Good luck, and feel better soon!! You can do it, Anne!

  13. So sorry you aren't feeling well, Anne. I know the pork skin aisle very well but now they are just not my favorite. I spent to much time with them when I was on the Atkins diet and think I've outgrown my liking for them. Feel better soon!

  14. I am just about at that spot....
I am house bound right now,
and all I found to eat was a few bites of
pork rinds with cheese wiz from a can.
This might be my lowest point
Scraping the bottom of the barrel type thing, eh?
    Ugh...

  15. Sounds like you need to feel better - fast! Whatever it is, I hope it leaves you in a better place than it found you in. Do you have family or friends? Hope you find good company to share the Holidays with.

  16. pork rinds and cheese wiz and no caffeine and being sick, it's a right miserable way to spend any holiday! Here's hoping your headache has left, at least, and tomorrow will be a better day! Thinking of you...
