for good

I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led to those
Who help us most to grow
If we let them
And if we help them in return

Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
because I knew you.
......................................................
It well may be
That we may never meet again
In this lifetime - so let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made from what I learned from you
You'll be with me,
Like a handprint on my heart.
And now whatever way our stories end,
I know you have rewritten mine
By being my friend

....Who can say if I've been changed for the better
But because I knew you
I have been changed "for good"

And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for

But then I guess we know
There's blame to share
And none of it seems to matter any more

"For Good"

It was either this, or I was going to
release the Flying Monkeys again!
And I know how you don't like that....

PS.... it's all I can do to not take off work and
become a "Wicked-Head."  A groupie....
That, and the fact that I would be broke in about a week....
Oh yeah, that!

  6. Like a "handprint on my heart". :)Seems it's time for a Carb Tripper hand-drawn bit of art of that, yes? Yes?

I imagine lots of people have been blessed by you. You left handprints all over, huh?

  10. I love that song. I do a mean version of it when I'm cleaning house--singing along with the soundtrack always makes the job go faster.

  13. Next time you head west, I expect a meet up. And a whataburger packed in dry ice. I wonder how many letters it would take for the corporate bigwigs at whataburger to consider putting one in her on the west coast?
