cross fit monk

Cold day out and about
Till ya get warmed up, that is!
Planking on a foam roller.

Went to CrossFit... gave it my all!
This is my pulse...171....
220 minus your age is max max
So... hey! Even yet I am the slowest one in the group.
I recover nicely... I just need more "real" cardio training.
Imagine what my pulse was 9 months ago....
Or 2 years ago!
Disappointed smile
3 x 200 meter run (after the 400 meter run warm up)
Front squats (use a barbell for these)
Overhead Press and Push Press
Each 3 x 10 (15 # barbell)

Everyone was getting back to the swing of things today

Shrimp, Bacon, Onions, Peppers....

Still having trouble getting my calories up:
2 HB eggs.
Protein shake (a double)
And the bacon shrimp meal (above)
Plus cream and buttah.
Carborexia? I'm trying not to!

So I leave you with this...a beautiful sunrise to start the day with!

  1. Generally speaking, as long as I don't go into afib, I'm fine.
I once was able to control even that.
Now it seems to linger a bit more that it did before.

  4. I keep going back to that first photo. It has so many layers of meaning... I really like it, and it "speaks" to me.

Oh, and YES, I got my rear in gear and did that T-Tapp today! My plan for now is to do it Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Thanks, Anne.

PS: Yep... it was hard! ;-)

  6. I had shrimp last night, too. With a little cajun spice and some spaghetti squash...mmmm.

  7. 220 minus your age? Why does your watch not read 199 then? Something to strive for :-)

  8. Way to hit that CrossFit hard! I've visited one of their clubs in Utah...great experience, though none are convenient for us in the St. Louis area.
