on being angry

Just because you’re fit 
Doesn’t mean you’ve got it together. 

Ironically, I googled Tiger 
Because my former boss said
He learned Anger Management 
From something Tiger said. 

If you make a bad shot, 
Go ahead and be mad. 
But only till you get to the next tee. 

About that time, start focusing 
On the upcoming shot. 

Otherwise, you’ll waste all day
Being mad. 

Same with the scale! 
If you mess up, 
Feel it. Then start again. 
You don’t have to wait for Monday. 
Or any other time. 
Just start. 

Down 3 pounds after ditching OMAD 
(One Meal A Day)
And now I have zero meals a day! 
I passed up a chance 
To have a full meal 
Since I sampled an ounce or two
Of delish Goat yesterday!

A quart of water weighs 2 pounds. 
An old expression is 
“A pint - a pound,
The world around!”
A pint is about 2 cups. 
Half a quart. 

So I don’t worry about 2 or 3 pound swings. 
I go up or down 2 pounds a day. 
Or more. 

Now down to where I started. 
Off to the next tee!

  1. I’m happy to have reached the stage where minor fluctuations on the scales don’t freak me out. (Of course it’s exceedingly rare for me to have a sudden dramatic DROP, but my weight will swing up easily by 1.5 - 2 lbs if I eat something unadvisable like pizza or Chinese food) Give me a couple of days of sensible OMAD eating & I'm back down to baseline again...
