small town day

Went to the Desert  - looked up and there it was!

Signs all around -
Watch your step, indeed!

I love old buildings!
Looks like I came to the right town for that.

  1. I love the irony of the first pic and the "Big Boys Toy BOOM" hahahah--hahahah. But most of them make me sad. Deserted things are...sad.

Happy New Years, O Shadow-Striped One.

  3. Sad scenes, but interesting. Old brick facades always have certain charm.

  5. Anne, off topic, but I just wanted to thank you and all nurses in your line of work. You all do such a service to those families in need. Thank you.

  7. Happy New Year! I loved your blog in 2010 and I know I'll love it this year too.

I didn't think the pictures were sad, just old (like me?). Well, except for the Kountry Kraft Mall, which probably was closed by the Spelling Police! *LOL*

Thanks for such a great blog!

  9. I didn't think the pictures were sad, either! Constant friends, full of potential, ready to be used again.

    And stripes? Marvelous!

  10. It's helpful to have signs...so that we can better understand what things are for. Yet in time their purpose may change. It is humbling to know we do not understand anything. I could stare at some of those pictures for hours. I get what you mean about old buildings...its like they have a story they want to tell us but we are all to busy to listen.

BTW you can wear stripes now...quite flattering.

  13. You make me homesick Anne. One of my favorite things to do back home in Texas was to just get in my pickup and drive to where ever the good Lord took me.

I sure do miss those big boy toy boom stands. Don't have them out here in NV, or at least not in the area I live in.

I sure do like that last picture of you. :)

  17. Glad your mac was ok after the tea adventure. I'm not so sure I would have handled it all so calmly, way to go. Well I don't think stripes make you look bad at all.
