A little snack of raspberries, blueberries,
cashews, and Greek-Style Yogurt
What? You didn't know?
Low*Carb treat for sure!
Butter Lettuce comes with "strings" attached
pretty high-maintenance, but worth it -
just like any Diva
ground chuck, bag of cabbage mix, water chestnuts, onions...
the secret is in the spice/sauce:
sesame oil, tamari, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce
garnished w/ cashews
all you need to "party like a wok star"
*apron optional, but highly recommended*
Monster w/protein x2
Creatine, water,
coffee w/sf hot chocolate
berry snack w/ greek-style yogurt
beef n cabbage
6,000 steps @ work, no work-out -
way too tired and sleepy both!
Everything looks delicious, really cute picture of you my friend......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou made cabbage look fun... wok star for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh Anne, I am so with you on the coffee mixed with SF hot cocoa. Yum!
ReplyDeleteLove the 'wok star' pic. ;)
Food looks great, too.
Best wishes for a great week,
Lynn
that berry snack with yogurt looks so good!
ReplyDeletethe cabbage does look fun. the cashews must add a different texture. but a good one.
Thanks for the comments on the food pics -
ReplyDeleteI was secretly hoping to make people drool!
People don't know what's on LowCarb -
They think it's all about beef jerky and hard boiled eggs!
Hope everyone had a good weekend -
Ready to get back into the mix!?
Onward and downward!
The greek yogurt mix look delicious. Can't say it's low carb though cause greek yogurt has tons of carbs.
ReplyDeleteAha - my point exactly -
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to Greek Gods Yogurt
http://www.greekgodsyogurt.com/html/yplain.php
4 oz of the plain yogurt has only 5 grams of carbs.
Can't go wrong with that, eh?
A snack size serving. Yummy as the day is long.
Actually, the plain isn't that bad. Probably should have checked before I commented. The only greek ones I have tried were the flavored ones which were around 20g per container ::foot in mouth::.
ReplyDeleteanne - Even on an extreme keto diet, it's a doable amount of carbs. Thanks for making me aware of this :).
ReplyDeleteTony - You and I are kindred spirits!
ReplyDelete:D
The flavoured yogurt, yes. Carb City!
But the plain ones are good for little mixes -
you can even mix protein powder in them.
Fage is good too @ 7 carbs per 8 oz

I love the kitchen and of course you wearing an apron :)
ReplyDelete*Disclaimer*
ReplyDeleteSpunySuzi - not my kitchen!
Not even my apron!
This is what you call FANCY!
Mine is what you call not-so-fancy!
But I sure do like it, too!
My whole kitchen would fit on this range!
Alas - all I brought to this party was my cute face!

ReplyDeleteGreat post and love the wok star pose!! I sent this to my hubby the guitar player who is also working on weight loss. I can see I need to come back to your blog and go way back to the beginning and read all your posts. Will let you know when I have done that.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I love your food pictures.
ReplyDeleteGreek yogurt and berries is a great combo!
Great title and love the pic with the pan held like a guitar. Them cashews have my mouth watering. I lurves them, but have banned them. One of the things I can't stop eating once I start. Luckily, there are plenty of other nuts to choose from. Butter lettuce is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt's always all about the sauce. :D
Nice pic. So says a chef named sous. :-)
ReplyDeleteOMG love the pic!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe the cute face was enough :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious. What kind of greek yogurt is that?
ReplyDeleteNancy - Yummy Greek Gods Yogurt - plain flavour.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to blog about the flexibility of LowCarb...
It's often not what people think it is...
Low Carb is really just "common sense" on a plate!
Thanks for all of your kind words!
Greek yogurt with fresh berries has been my new go-to thing to eat. It's SO good and so filling!
ReplyDeleteAnd I, like all the other people that have commented, love the picture - too funny! :)

Anne (yay! Another Anne with an 'e'!)
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my blog - it made my day!
