grocery store day

Last summer at the store

This year at the store...

Then and Now

Buy some flowers instead!
(Instead of flour?)

A few of my favorite substitutions!
Painless and wonderful.
A step up - not down.

......................................................
Monster w/protein x2
Egg Whites International x2
Salad w/ Avocado, ham, cheese, mixed nut topping,
and Ranch dressing! An awesome no-cook kind of day.
Water x a swimming pool, almost!
Not really - just a whole bunch, eh?
....................................................................
BioFreeze - yesterday's boxing finally caught up with me. *creak!*
I might do better with a "guided" work-out at least one day a week!
The rest of the time, I'm ok to pump it up.
Something about group dynamics changes things, eh?
.......................................................................
I hope you are having a great start to a wonderful weekend!

    Substitutions, that is!

  2. It's a different life, isn't it? Over time, I've turned into a veggie person. Where once was only mashed potatoes and corn, there is now lots of green stuff.

The biggest substitution I try to make (not always successful) is Greek Yogurt and fruit as a dessert.

Hope your boxing soreness eases up soon!

  3. Oh, I loved the visual before and afters! Yours AND the store stuff. :-D

Before: way too much sugar and HFCS
Now: stevia, xylitol, and some splenda

Mmmm... me loves Creamy Root Beer Diet Hansens soda (no aspartame, sweetened with splenda). In the hot summer months, I allow myself one every single day! Well, maybe sometimes it's Black Cherry... But sometimes I add 1 tablespoon of whipping cream to a Root Beer... Wowzer! It tastes like a melted root beer float. :-D

  6. Awww flowers for me :)
Just kidding!! One of the biggest differences for me is drinking water. Before i was lucky to get one glass in and now i'm an 8cup a day gal.
Another one is that i use a lot less bread and i love veggies just as they are, i don't need dip.
However, if we're talking subs i'll go with an assorted please!

  12. Great pics of the subs.

I just had a sub breakfast. Instead of a BLT on toasted bread with butter I had turkey bacon slices on top of slice tomatoes with olive oil mayo. Delicious!!!

I love your year ago pics. It is so cool to see the awesome changes you have made.
