Last summer at the store
This year at the store...
Then and Now
Buy some flowers instead!
(Instead of flour?)
A few of my favorite substitutions!
Painless and wonderful.
A step up - not down.
......................................................
Monster w/protein x2
Egg Whites International x2
Salad w/ Avocado, ham, cheese, mixed nut topping,
and Ranch dressing! An awesome no-cook kind of day.
Water x a swimming pool, almost!
Not really - just a whole bunch, eh?
....................................................................
BioFreeze - yesterday's boxing finally caught up with me. *creak!*
I might do better with a "guided" work-out at least one day a week!
The rest of the time, I'm ok to pump it up.
Something about group dynamics changes things, eh?
.......................................................................
I hope you are having a great start to a wonderful weekend!
What are some of your fave subs?
ReplyDeleteSubstitutions, that is!
It's a different life, isn't it? Over time, I've turned into a veggie person. Where once was only mashed potatoes and corn, there is now lots of green stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest substitution I try to make (not always successful) is Greek Yogurt and fruit as a dessert.
Hope your boxing soreness eases up soon!
Oh, I loved the visual before and afters! Yours AND the store stuff. :-D
ReplyDeleteBefore: way too much sugar and HFCS
Now: stevia, xylitol, and some splenda
Mmmm... me loves Creamy Root Beer Diet Hansens soda (no aspartame, sweetened with splenda). In the hot summer months, I allow myself one every single day! Well, maybe sometimes it's Black Cherry... But sometimes I add 1 tablespoon of whipping cream to a Root Beer... Wowzer! It tastes like a melted root beer float. :-D
Loretta
=^..^=
You look twenty years better this year but sorry to say the lady added that amount on hers.
ReplyDeleteThen potato chips; Now grapes
ReplyDeleteThen cola; Now ice tea
Then twinkies; Now cheese stick
Then slouch and slump; Now strut and stomp
Awww flowers for me :)
ReplyDeleteJust kidding!! One of the biggest differences for me is drinking water. Before i was lucky to get one glass in and now i'm an 8cup a day gal.
Another one is that i use a lot less bread and i love veggies just as they are, i don't need dip.
However, if we're talking subs i'll go with an assorted please!
I love the before and after! They're great. And thanks for the words you left :)
ReplyDeleteYup...getting better is a series of making better choices...you got to feel good about that!
ReplyDeletethe differences are amazing... then chips, candy and donuts ... now I am the brown bagging queen!!!
ReplyDeletewater, smaller sizes of some things, bigger servings of green!
ReplyDeleteYou have made some wise decisions my friend, the right ones.....I need some of your discipline and really fast. Have a great weekend.......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of the subs.
ReplyDeleteI just had a sub breakfast. Instead of a BLT on toasted bread with butter I had turkey bacon slices on top of slice tomatoes with olive oil mayo. Delicious!!!
I love your year ago pics. It is so cool to see the awesome changes you have made.
substituted watching tv to reading your blog
ReplyDeleteIt's always about quality :)
thank you for posting- it's inspiring me to stay low carb for the long haul.also, the right side column looks WAY more delicious. my favorite comfort-food substitute- shiritaki angel hair noodles with cheddar cheese melted in for mac and cheese!
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award, I don't quite know blogger etiquette yet. I love your blog and you make me smile... but it was painful. 10 things!! wow It was hard
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks Karla!
ReplyDeleteI'll do my best to live up to it!
Love your blog, too!
