ballooning up

Vacations can be fun!

No weight restrictions this year!

Temecula California is "Wine Country"

Monster LowCarb Energy drink w/protein
Stick of cheese, hard boiled egg, 2 spicy wings
They served a little champagne brunch after the Hot Air Balloon ride!
I skipped the sweets and bagels, and did OK!
You don't have to be "all low carb" to pass up a cookie!
All this before noon!

The Valley here is cold in the morning - 35 degrees today!
Then when the sun comes up, it heats up nicely -
Ocean breezes come in from across the mountains....
In a word...yummy weather!

The balloon ride was gentle and great fun!
So high up there's almost no wind at all.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Wish you were here!

  1. Anne, that has been my dream since I was like 5! Although I'm frightened - were you afraid?!

  3. YES - I was nervous at first!
But it was so gentle and easy -
There was almost no wind...so high up!
We just levitated there without a sound.
You could hear dogs barking down below.
It was like a dream of floating in time/space....
I felt really safe. It was enchanting!

  4. Wow! A hot air balloon flight is on my bucket list. I would be really nervous, though, (I'm not very good with heights!) and I don't know if I'd ever be brave enough to do it. So it's good to know that you felt perfectly safe. Great photos, I am intrigued to see the other balloons up there too.

  15. Oh WOW!!! I'm doing that when my weight is low enough that I feel I won't bring the balloon down (or be refused a flight!)

  16. Awesome! - I thought for sure they would kick me to the curb...
They never even raised an eyebrow (because of my "weight")
    Different story last year, eh?
It' an ongoing process, for sure!
