cooking with anne h

 Yummy wholesome breakfast snacks.
Nary a monster drink in sight.
Until later, that is!
Then, only half a can.
My "cutting back" plan is working!

Ground beef, cabbage, water chestnuts,
and sesame oil, soy (I prefer tamari)
rice wine vinegar, fish sauce.
It all comes together to make this:
A video of me, cooking and wearing an apron -
An apron, for gosh sake!
How domesticated.
When the day starts like this,
what could go wrong?
Maybe things will work out ok, after all, eh?
Thanks for all your kind words about my spider bite yesterday...
Not really a problem, considering...
Thank you all.

  1. Scrum , scrum , SCRUM! I've been craving chinese food lately. Theres this resturant right beside my apartment with lovely fragrances wafting out of it everyday. Why skip it when all we have to do is dump the rice and eggrolls? After this post, I'll be adding cabbage to my grocery list! Tanks anneh.

  2. O.k you've made me hungry now :)
Glad to hear the spider isn't too bad!

  3. You got an award on my blog today :)

  4. Love that Texas sky! Love the video :)

  5. Thanks ya'll!
    And SpunkySuzi - wow -
You made my day! Thanks for all of your support.
It's people like you that make blogging so fun!

  6. Anne...love it, I also watched yesterdays singing, Oh Johnny, you know you have the best twinkle in your eye. You could be up for an academy award. Take care.

  7. Cinner- I love hearing nice things, of course.
The support in the blogs is more than I could have asked for!
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you the timing is perfect -
I really needed to hear some encouragement today!
    *must be coffee withdrawals!*

  8. You have my dream stove! Oh the things I could cook on that :-)

Your lunch looks great but I'm stumped on what the pink photo is of????

Glad you are putting you new HD Flip to good use!

    Happy Sunday

  9. Anne,

I just wanted to say that it's fun to follow you via your photos.

They're a clear, concise and entertaining way that makes me feel like I'm almost there. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

  10. Joanna J - The pink/red is just ground beef - no stumps involved!!
The color needs a little "enhancing" in iPhoto, wouldn't you say?
And the stove - not mine! It IS a dream stove, though!
    Your trained eye caught it!
JP - Ya'll ARE with me - all my blogger people are with me, all day, on my mind, and in my heart!

  11. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Gonna have me craving beef and cabbage now!! Looks sooo good, and love the apron!! ☼

  12. The more I cook, the more I learn...
    Like WHY cooks wear aprons.
Sunny Girl ☼ It WAS good! Get some!

I would love to hear from you!
