life in the fasting lane

Welcome to "Driving Does Dallas"
Lesson 101
Kinda like a diet metaphor, isn't it?
We each have our "cruise control"
Blondes in convertibles always have the right of way!
The most expensive car has the right of way
"You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me.
I'm a loner, Dotie. A rebel."
Sometimes, the only civilized way to handle conflict is RPS.
Rock Paper Scissors.
Watch out, though - here in Texas, they use the real things!
Missing Elderly - A "Silver" Alert
No one ever reads those signs, do they?
Do you remember this from a few years ago?
....................................................................
...and speaking of zombies....

These pictures are from June 2009
AFTER I had been on LoCarb for 3 months
AFTER I had lost a huge amount of weight already!
Sometimes, I forget how heavy I really was....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One regret is that I never weighed "before"
So I'll never know how much I've really lost.
I wish it weren't so important to me to "prove" my specialness.
Shows me I've still got some "work" to do on myself -
Inside and out...
.....................................................
We survived the second night of the detox ordeal....
Cold AC and lots of water
Egg-white protein w/ instant coffee
Get some cleaning/ laundry done this weekend!
I am actually looking forward to it!
...................................................................
        This just in: (Sunday morning)
        Since no one ended up running down the street naked,
        clucking like a hen, (I knew they wouldn't!)
        I went on in to work this weekend.
        Beats sitting around ruminating.
        So now we've knocked out night #3!
        And are out of the proverbial woods.
        Change is hard because you want to listen to your ego
        Although you know it tells you the wrong thing!
         The trick is to be patient and gentle
         while you learn to trust yourself.
About the title of the post:
I don't fast too often...
Just when I don't eat, or skip a meal.
Once, I skipped all day, and boy, were my legs tired!
*rimshot, eh?*
How's your weekend going?
Great, I hope!
  1. I don't fast at all. You picture from a year ago is such a testament to your inner strength and determination. I guess I am too lazy. But all hope is not lost because at least I am not gaining. I bounce around plus and minus ten pounds. But I have lots to lose I think. Maybe some day I will take it seriously and lose weight because it will help me be healthier. Today is Saturday and for me now that I don't work, it is another day without stress. Yay.
  3. How funny...I was listening to NPR this past week and heard about an "Olympics" of R.P.S. The participants are hardcore. It made me laugh.
    I don't think blondes in convertibles have more fun. I think I'm a blonde (used to be a true blonde) and I have fun in my work van.
    You've come along way BABY!
