Here in Texas, the sign kids wear toques with shorts.
And lederhosen.
You can't fight fashion!
Poor blogger - it can't get the spacing right today,
and the last post was done in HyperTextNightmareLanguage.
It didn't respond to any commands or changes.
A perfect example of doing something right
but having it not work anyways.
The error is sometimes on a higher level.
Or lower level, as the case may be.
Bogged down in the blogs, I guess.
An internal glitch?
It didn't even list any blogs I am following
And no, I don't have a Mac Virus.
So I did it this way, eh?
Hope your weekend is wonderful!
I'm sorry you're having to do hard things. I hope you're alright and the ramshackle shambles don't stay around too long.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
ReplyDeletePerhaps by now you already know my favorite film quote of late. It's delivered by Michael Caine in the film The Weather Man - written by Stephen Conrad.
"Do you know that the harder thing to do and the right thing to do are usually the same thing? Nothing that has meaning is easy. 'Easy' doesn't enter into grown-up life."
I'm happy to see that you're walking. That not only helps the body but also the mind. Perception is always influenced by our neurochemistry.
I hope this weekend treats you kindly, dear Anne. :)
I am temporarily without a vehicle,
ReplyDeleteso when I say I walked,
it wasn't exactly for fitness.
In fact, I'm taking a cab to work today!
I hardly ever miss a day of working out
Although I almost never post about it.
Perhaps, I should!
Anne, somedays you just want to say shite. whaat happened to your vehicle. I hope you are feeling better and able to look at things from a fresh look. be well. hugs.
ReplyDeleteJust sending a hug your way, Anne H. And as the above poster said, I hope the weekend (and you) treat you gently.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot always be the one other people turn to. Gads. If you are getting dumped on all the time (even though you do care about the dumpers) you only get to be a dumpee, and split that word up and what do you get????
ReplyDeleteYou can do hard things. Hope you can make it out of bed and enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe sign thing was funny. You always have a great eye for the absurd. That's why I read!
Unshamble things. I know that just doing the next right thing can get me thru minute by minute.
{{hugs}}
Thanks, Dana - aka F McButter Pants!
ReplyDeleteThat is, after all YOUR quote...
"I can do hard things!"
Consider this to please be the link back to it, and you.
For I am incommunicado as of late.
But only with Blogger. Not with bloggees!
Hope you start to feel a LOT better very soon... Tough times do pass, even if it seems like they never will...
ReplyDeletesorry to hear things aren't going so great. It's your turn for folks to hold you up, you don't always have to be the strong one. You can do the hard things, you have proven that over and over. Hard times suck though, I feel ya
ReplyDelete((((hugs))))
"Slow children playing..." Maybe it is the lederhosen that slows them down?
ReplyDeleteI'm not the only one having Blogger issues? So it appears it was NOT the rum! :-)
Don't know what has got you down, but I'm thinking about ya! hugs!
You have a great attitude. Try to find a positive in every situation. Hope things get better. I had blogger issues the other night too, but it must have been fixed, because I haven't had problems since. I use Windows Live Writer. It's free to download and much easier.
ReplyDeleteRamshackle Shambles does not sound like a good illness to have. Hope it passes soon.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read about your workouts. Cream cheese and peanut butter together is like a party.
ReplyDeleteHere is some music for your listening pleasure...keep it in mind. Hugs!

"Lean On Me" vs "Ain't No Sunshine"
ReplyDeleteThe age-old dilema continues....
Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
lol :)
Thanks, everyone!
You've been on my mind. This will pass over soon, I'm sure. Sometimes life is tough.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite quotes: Some days your are the pigeon and some days you are the statue. LOL I hate statue days. Of course I don't want to be the one making someone else feel like a statue either.
Anyway, I love your "slow children" sign. Maybe it just means "not so bright" children playing and you have to watch out for them because they don't understand that they could be run over by a truck.
Hope you get your wheels soon. :) ((HUGS))
My glass is always half-full...I can top yours up if you wish...BTW, I can never decide which of those songs I like better. They both move me.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need a night out (Drag Queen show perhaps?) to clear your head and let it all hang out baby!
ReplyDeleteYou know what else I'm going to say, don't you Anne-- BE KIND TO YOURSELF.
And hang in there. xoxoxox
Anne, put on your lederhosen, your shorts and your jaunty little cap and take a run around your neighborhood. That'll lift the good Aryan spirits, right? :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about things going poorly. Here's to a better tomorrow.
