release the butterflies

I decided to go for a little walk today.

This lovely creature followed me everywhere I went.
At one point, he/she/or it tried to land on me.
Which was pretty good.
I should get out more!

I had a much better day today.
I'm less-vexed, as it were.
Thanks for reading,
and thanks for your comments yesterday.

  1. Oh, how nice to have a butterfly friend! We have an Admiral butterfly that does that--they are called that because they are fond of sitting on people's shoulders like little epaulets.

I think it might be good luck to have a butterfly land on you. Hope it works!

  2. I love butterflies! delicate and fragile, but oh, so brave. glad you're feeling better :)

  3. ohh i love butterflies! That's awesome that you got to take pics :)

  4. I love butterflies and swear they give you good luck!

  5. “Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you” - Nathaniel Hawthorne

  6. Lovely butterflies. The simple things are often the most special. I'm glad you are feeling better. I went to check what you said in response to my comment yesterday and found that I hadn't posted it. Odd since I spent a good amount of time reading and re-reading your post. Maybe I couldn't find words significant enough to match the tone of your post, but it effected me and I care.

  7. How pretty!

And a sign of some kind, not sure what, but I am sure it is good.

Glad you are feeling a bit better.

  8. Beautiful!! Makes you smile, huh? :)

  9. Butterflies only follow worthy people. That's what my G'ma told me. As a golfer, I've also been told that butterflies landing on you, your club or your golf ball is very good luck. What a wonderful walk you must have had.

  10. Loved the pics. I would like to think that butterflies follow only worthy people. I like that.

Glad you are feeling better. What about words?

  11. That's a lovely experience. I can feel your joy in your words.

  12. Thank you - there IS joy in my words - when I can get them out without being misunderstood.
Lately I can't type or even speak what is on my mind...just a phase, I'm sure.

  13. What a cool thing to have happen. If that's not a sign, I don't know what is. :-)

I sometimes have a similar experience - except in my case, vultures follow me.
