Us Two - from Pooh Bear

~ By AA Milne~

"Wherever I am, there's always Pooh;
there's always Pooh and me.
Whatever I do, he wants to do,
"where are you going today?" says Pooh...
"Well, that's very odd 'cos I was too."

"Let's go together," says Pooh, says he. "Let's go together", says Pooh.
"What's twice eleven?" I said to Pooh, "Twice what?" said Pooh to Me.
"I think it ought to be twenty two", "Just what I think myself," said Pooh.
"It wasn't an easy sum to do, But that's what it is," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what it is," said Pooh.

"Let's look for the dragons," I said to Pooh. "Yes, let's," said Pooh to Me.
We crossed the river and found a few... "Yes those are dragons all right," said Pooh.
"As soon as I saw their beaks I knew. That's what they are," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what they are," said Pooh.

"Let's frighten the dragons," I said to Pooh. "That's right," said Pooh to Me.
"I'm not afraid," I said to Pooh, And held his paw and shouted
"Shoo! Silly old dragons!" and off they flew.
"I wasn't afraid," said Pooh, said he, "I'm never afraid with you."

So wherever I am, there's always Pooh; there's always Pooh and me.
"What would I do?" I said to Pooh, "If it wasn't for you," and Pooh said...
"True, It isn't much fun for One, but Two can stick together," says Pooh, says he.
"That's how it is," says Pooh.

  1. I often buy my wife Pooh cards on special occasions. I got her one for our 10th anniversary this past month. It didn't say anything inside of it. There was just a sweet drawing and a space to make it personal.

Hope you get some much needed downtime soon, Anne. Please take good care of yourself. If you don't, who will take good care of all those who you care for? Try saying that 10 times fast!

  10. Pooh was my first obsession, my first love. I still heart that silly ol' bear. Got several in my closet. Oh, there's a Nini crawling out from under the bed. She's as much fun as Pooh.

  12. Pooh rocks! Actually Pooh is more of a poser gloryhound. It's really all about Eeyore!!! I actually have about 6 Eeyores in my house and a little on that rides on the dash of my car.

I think Eeyore is great. He truely struggles with life and things in general in such a deep way... BUT HE NEVER GIVES UP! Eeyore is my hero.

And it's all about the stuffed animals at Foolsfitness-Alan

  14. This whole post changed for me from "ego" things to something bigger - grander, and more loving.
I read it one way, one day, then it morphed into a very loving, supportive thing.
Or rather, I was the one doing the morphing.
    MORPHING, mind you. *MorPHING!*
