brick by bric-a-brac

This is James May.
This is his full-sized Lego house.
A house that nobody wants.

Here is a link to the news story:

Here's an updated link to the Nightmare,
as they are now calling it.

3.3 million Lego Bricks.
Running water, windows,
Lego bed, Lego slippers and
and a Lego cat.

Thousands of people turned out to help.

Here's a link to that story:

Now what?
BBC link: The house is coming down - today!
unless they find a buyer.

Who builds a house from toys?
'Ceptin' this guy.

  1. Look, I've always thought he was a bit odd, but this is... beyond quirky!

  2. It's a good thing my son only gets a dollar allowance per week, otherwise he'd probably buy it.

  3. This reminds me of the time I made an igloo out of bubble wrap. I couldn't find a buyer either.

Hope those Legos make there way to some kids in need ...

  4. It's kind of cool, but I don't think I'd want to live in it. I like the furry kind of cat better.

  5. I agree with Harry on them going to someone who can use them.

  7. a tribute to childlike wonder in adulthood. love the concept, but would need some serious paint to live there, the colors would put a hurt on my already spinning neocortex. :)
