A few years back, my son and his now husband moved to the San Francisco area, and needed someone to drive out one of their cars. Well, my daughter and I drove from New York, straight across the country. We started on a Sunday morning and arrived there on Friday before noon, in JANUARY. We were freaked out to cross the Donner Pass, as the elevation is like 7,000 feet, and you have to have tire chains in your vehicle, just in case. We didn't end up needing them, but we brought a snow shovel with us, and the boys were like, "What in the heck are we going to do with a snow shovel in San Francisco?" One of my daughters is driving her car from NY to Washington state in a few weeks, so a few of us are driving with her and flying home....I love love love road trips, love to see this beautiful country of ours. I love your Army pics...!
