kneeling day

This kind of canned pepper has seeds.
Ouch - I like being frugal,
But sometimes "house brands" are not as expensive
Because the quality is just not there...
Lots of stems and seeds.

Made an awesome Crustless Quiche...

Portioning food is always good for a Phattie Food Blogger

Found these - good low carb
Good for protein and low in carbs

Low in carbs, too --
But I wouldn't want to eat it!
Too cute to eat

Finally got my PTO --
And now I am a "free agent"
No longer Full Time.

Was doing my spiel at a patient's home
About cutting back on carbs and sugar and
Processed Junk. This came on.

National News and stuff

The still foolishly recommend cutting back on Saturated Fat
(IMHO, it is a deadly mistake to cut back on Saturated Fats.)

And this - I was injured in May.
Recovering in June.
I can finally touch - but not weight bear -
On my injured knee!

My "borrowed"  PT (Thanks, other Anne!)
Says that knee replacements only last about 10 years.
And I should put it off as long as possible.
Hmmmm. Maybe.

  2. The government's suggestions on nutrition are partly to blame for why we're such an overweight country. Totally agree about the saturated fat!

  3. Indeed! And now the say its ok to have cholesterol. Not a problem. Have all the cholesterol you want. It doesn't cause high cholesterol..... well, we already knew that! It is just am matter of time before they change their stance on Saturated Fats.

  4. Feel free to finish a meal early when you're undergoing weight loss. Ignore the old adage about not leaving the table till your plate is clean. That belief has done far more harm than good to many waistlines in adulthood. Taking food home with you after eating out is perfectly acceptable.

    1. Planned Time Off... they pay so many "units" per so many hours worked. Then in a year, you get 2 weeks paid vacation. Something like that
