  3. Excellent, creative vlog! Good for you getting back on track. Hang in there!
Talk about temptation everywhere...I just got back from visiting my BFF who has basically been on a death watch for a month. She has Diabetes, COPD, and congestive heart failure but she's finally had a couple of good days and is even able to eat some. I was ordering her lunch today. She told me what she wanted and after ordering a couple of items, which were already unhealthy sugar laden things, the person on the other end of the line (hospital dietician) says "well she needs more carbs, she's only at 69 right now...would she like vanilla wafers or graham crachers?" translation sugar "how about a fruit cup?" translation sugar "would she like peach or strawberry yogurt?" translation sugar...I finally asked if they had any healthy carbs...she giggled. I then told her that I had brought a small portion of spinach from home for her so could she just add that to her number and she said "welllll...let me see, she ordered orange juice would she like to make it 2, she could save one for later" translation...well you get the picture! I've been there a couple other times when they have brought her a tray and it's almost ALL sugar! So there is no escape even in the critical care unit of the hospital. PS I had also brought her a little quiche muffin thing I make because she told me last night she wanted one so the only few healthy, sugar free bites of food she had for lunch came from my kitchen.
    Sorry just had to vent!

  5. You are so funny! I love listening to your dual personalities! I love what you said, eat healthy, and the rest will come. Don't focus on numbers. I have been low carb since 2007, and I (hate) to say it, but I never cheat. Never you say? Not since 2007. I don't have sugar or carb cravings because I never eat the stuff, or grains, potatoes or corn, or peas. Just don't! I see skinny people eating tons of sugar and carbs, and instead of hating them like I used to, I now feel sorry for them - sugar and high carbs are poison no matter how small you are! Lots of skinny people are diabetic or have cancer. I read the comment above and am really appalled by what that hospital is feeding that poor girl! Anyway - keep it up, you look fab!

  6. Great video. You really know how to tell a story and get my attention.

Struggling back into ketosis after a minor blip .... It's not easy but it is doable.

    Blessings

  7. How true, how true! Just began reading your blog this week (will get the older posts read soon!) and find it very fun! I am battling to lose about 90 pounds and am working on making my diet lower carb and healthier. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Wish you'd spread some of your talent and creativity around to the rest of us. Not fair that you got so much when some of us got so little! This video is great, my friend.
