Some of these are from my recent trip to California.
Some of these are right here in Dallas, Tx.
I thought I needed to change my outlook.
Maybe change my focus for a while.
Metaphysically, spring brings new thoughts -
But it's still bleak winter between my ears.
There's a bird outside my new window who sings all day and all night.
The artificial lights from the streets and nearby buildings must confuse her.
And who hasn't fallen for that old trick?
I never have fully recovered from H1N1 last October.
There are days I feel .... how you say.... less than wonderful.
Like I've said before - I'm a "real" blogger now - I've had a meltdown!
When I am physically tired, it seems harder to stop the doubts and rejection.
Thanks for all of your kind and supportive comments recently!
Sending you a big HUG!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks-
ReplyDeleteI'll take it!
The flowers are just beautiful. They would cheer up anybody that's for sure. Blogging like all things in life is not always skipping rope and being fed grapes. I have to work on my stuff in my life every day and hearing you describe the bird outside your new window telling you welcome is a warm hug if there ever was one!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning pics. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you were feeling down. Your posts and pics always seem so upbeat. Sorry you are feeling tired. Never forget you are loved.
Hugs!
Oh my goodness. Such gorgeous flowers! So beautiful, and I can almost smell them...
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better soon...wishing you all the best!

It's groppling here ... bah! I think it's because I bought a spring coat week before last. Ever since the weathr went back to winter. Boooo! The only flowers we've got are the ones I bought at Trader Joes.
ReplyDeleteI get moody when I get tired, too. It's terrible you have yet to feel entirely put back together. I get what you mean.
Remember, the sun always rises. :D
Such beautiful pictures. Just scrolling through them is calming.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better soon.
Anne I love the flowers, you are definately ahead of Canada with the flowers. I am sorry you have not been feeling well. I understand that physically tired feeling. Remember it is okay to feel how you do. I am glad your an honest blogger, that is what we like about you. Rest my friend. As for the bit about between your ears it still feels like winter......I can relate. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous! I just love flowers. They make everything bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteOK. I'm sorry I haven't been around recently. I wanted to let you know that I would LOVE to get together for coffee or Rock Star/Monster. We usually head to Dallas once or twice a year. lat time we went was for the King Tut exhibit.
If you come towards Houston let me know. Brenham is also beautiful right now. There are flowers everywhere and I know a great place for burgers and beer. :)
Talk about a fit!
ReplyDeleteI have these "crying jags" that I have never had before in my life.
If I can redirect my thinking ever so slightly
I can usually pull myself out from a tail-spin.
But every now and then, I get so caught up in the sorrow -
it seems so real.... so endless, and dark. I feel it in my heart!
I have gained true empathy for people who really suffer from depression!
Lovely flowers. So sorry you are feeling down - I empathize. Hugs coming to you across the oceans.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your photos of flowers, so pretty. I hadn't realized you had H1N1 flu, so sorry to hear that. Sending you big hugs and good vibes to feel better soon........:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are feeling down! You know, even though there is more sun it seems as if there is an adjustment period for this time of year. Keep you chin up! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI love flowers. With a few exceptions, pictures of flowers are all over my home. I especially love tulips; they were my mom's favorite flower.
