about me:

I am a 56 year old woman who found LoCarb in March 2009 - whilst being stranded on vacation!
Hence the name Carb Tripper!
That - and I like The Beatles.
This blog helps me stay on track with losing a huge amount of weight.... and helps with keeping it off!

14 years and never going back!

14 years and never going back!

From Atkins 72 (reprinted in 1990)

"Say this over and over to yourself until you've got it through your rebellious head: My tendency to overweight is one sign of a chronic metabolic disorder. My physiology doesn't handle certain kinds of foods, as slim physiolgies do. I mustn't try to compare my eating habits to those who have never had a weight problem. Not now. Not ever."

Just Eat Real Food!

a Nurse on LoCarb

a Nurse on LoCarb
Yes - I AM a Nurse.
And yes, LoCarb works for me!
The lower, the better, it seems....
Times are changing - thank goodness - and we know more about diet and obesity than ever before. The time is coming when Saturated Fats will not be regarded as "evil," and Carbs will be looked at in a different light.
But, until that happy day, do your research, and see what works best for you!
