A smirking Teddy

With big eyes and a little

Sideways glance. 

They need to make bears

With special needs features. 

The family was ready to fly out

And this happened! 

War sucks.

Beneath our feet 

Truth. 

My mother worked in Medical Records

And the stories she told me. 

She always wanted me to be a Nurse. 

And viola! 

I am indeed. 

36 years. Why aren’t I rich? 

Well look who just entered the chat! 

I bought bitcoin in 2018

When it was $20,000. 

I don’t own a whole coin. 

Just 2cents worth. 

My job as agency nurse

Was never meant to stand alone. 

No benefits. Per Diem. 

No contract. 

It was the tail end of the 1980s

And good nurses merely 

Supplemented their Husbands income. 

Also they are trying to 

phase out the LVN position. 

Just when we need more Nurses! 

Just like trump trying to reopen 

Alcatraz- now a National Park 

I politics- the world is 

Upside Down and Backwards

And that’s how I sleep. 

Like a baby. 

Did a protein fast all week 

And did this - 5 pounds of 

Vacation Weight 

And those forbidden Sweet Potatoes 

They say some foods are 

“To DIE for”

But that’s not a literal quote. 

I don’t want to die from 

DM and inflammation.
