Crazy spring showers and new blossoms on the trees!
What a difference a day makes.
These appeared overnight.
The blue = 2x
The black = medium
Packing in little OCD bags...
This way I only have to carry in the over-night bag
until I get to my week-long destination!
Monster w/protein x2
Hamburger patty
grilled w/sour cream, heinz 57
Water, water, water!
Coffee w/sf hot chocolate
Atkins bar
Someone asked if I am eating enough.
No I don't think I am.
Kinda nervous - might just skip a day...
And were my legs tired! (...from skipping a day)
iTunes stacked w/music & musicals
LowCarb snacks ready-to-go!
People who know me say "Anne, you really need this vacation."
I guess that means I am tired? Sad-sack? Grumpy? Bitchy?
*sigh* still not 100% up for it...
If the idea is to leave my "comfort zone" then I should get extra points for sure.
"I would rather kiss a dead moose's butt" is a phrase that comes to mind.
Still, it would be nice to get out and see the world. No time like the present!
I guess I'm just a little "stage fright." Or have a little stage fright. Whatever!
All my neighbors came to help me pack. And eat dinner!
I met someone the other day for the first time.
She said "Looking at you, I cannot tell that you've ever had a weight problem."
Lady - are you effing blind? It's written all over my past.
You are so organized. I hope you have a splendiferous trip!
ReplyDeleteNice blog chick! Thanks for visiting mine. I am doing low carb too and it's working! Lost almost 5 kilos in 3 weeks! (11 pounds).
ReplyDeleteI checked out your before and after shots.. awesome!
Love the blossoms on the trees.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful vacation. And we'll get to see lots of pics, yes?
I'm jealous that you have trees blossoming!!
ReplyDeleteYou look like you're all ready to go. Maybe you'll relax more once you're on your way??
Once the trip gets underway, I'm sure I'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteI have never been so shy before.
That is why I must do this.
I've been on vacation from myself for so long...
It's time to find my way back, and prodigally return.
The road trip is just the backdrop.
The real journey is one of forgiveness....
Me forgiving myself for ever doubting myself.
You are brave! Good for you for pushing yourself like this, it is hard leaving the comfort zone, especially when you don't have to. Much easier to stay home. So good for you, Anne, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same madness in New York - a couple weeks ago it was crazy snowing. And this week it's in the 50s!
ReplyDeleteAhhh spring - I love the season. I wish I was an organized packer. I pretend sometimes, but mostly I just throw everything in and hope that the suitcase closes.
Remind me, where are you going? Safe travels & I am jealous!
OK girlfriend, I am so proud of you for getting out of the comfort zone. My sister is at my house and we leave in the morning. I just said to her I am having panic attack about leaving my safety zone...so in a way we are jumping the fence about the same time....you over the fence, I might have to go through it. BTW I like the OCD Bags...You left me a message and I am saying the same thing,
ReplyDeletewe are a lot a like. Know I am thinking of you, I wish you every little bit of strength you need. Hugs to you.
Hit the freeway heading west.....
ReplyDeleteBreathe.....
Roll windows down.....
Turn on music.....
Really loud....
Sing at the top of your lungs....
Wink at the truckers....
Wave at kids in the back seats of other cars....
Take a picture of the Welcome to California sigh....
Yell YIPPEE when you make it!!!
I'm excited and thrilled for you and look forward to meeting a GREAT blog friend in person! Know that I'm always cheering you on!
xo
The pictures are lovely. Have a wonderful time on your trip. Forgiving ourselves is a very good thing indeed...:-)
ReplyDeleteYAY vacation!! I hope you have an awesome trip. LOVE the OCD bags...I will admit I have a few of those myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have OCD bags, but I have OCD baskets everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteGreat way to say it "written all over my past'.
ReplyDeleteI really want to hear how it is for you, how you feel along the way. Once the initial gulp is done, does your stomach stay queasy or are you able to relax into the adventure? Whatever it is you choose to get out of the trip, may you be blessed and happy and feel the joy you deserve.
OCD bags!! I think it's just good planning. Our granddaughter loves to pack that way, and I think it is very smart. So there, pffft!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip, travel safely, and if you need another off road experience, come to Iowa! :) I'd be happy to show you around.
I think you will find leaving your comfort zone very rewarding. I did. :D
ReplyDeleteI have decided to switch blogs. would love to keep in touch with you and see your progress. If so inclined, please join me at: http://mpaxauthor.blogspot.com/
and I will add you onto my blog roll there.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteLove your pics of the blossoms and love your OCD bags.
Have a great trip.

Cheer up!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the ride!
Thanks F McB!
ReplyDeleteI have cheered up, since now I am well underway.
I really don't know where the panic came from,
except I know that it sucked.
It was so real at the time. Utter freaking dread.
I am usually very happy to go anywhere, anytime.
Don't ask me to visit if you don't mean it; I might just come!
But not so much anymore....now I'm the shy one...
Can't say why.....
It is all the details, not the actual doing, that can jam up the nervous center. Once you get going everything will be gravy! You are about to embark on an adventure! I'm so excited to see the pictures you will capture on the road. How fun!
